Rules:
1. This is an intermediate roleplay. That means we aim for 300-400 words per post. That’s really not that much, only a good paragraph or two.
2. Make sure you understand the rules on aliens - it’s a key element of the plot, and very important that you comprehend it.
3. Don’t be antagonistic to other roleplayers. Fighting in character is fine, being snarky out of character is frowned upon.
4. If you want your character to get pregnant, you’ll have to consult with the admins. We’ll probably let you, but we don’t want every girl in school being a baby mama.
5. Try to use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. It’s understandable to make mistakes, but that’s what spell-check is for. Use it!
6. Swearing is permissible, as long as you don’t do it every other word.
7. There shall be no roleplaying of sexual encounters on the boards. You can take it to the PM’s, but in the thread leading up to it, please fade to black before it goes beyond taking clothes off. (On that note, you can say that clothes are off, but do us all a favor and fade to black before you start describing body parts. ).
8. Signature images should be no wider than 500 and no taller than 300 pixels. We prefer them to be 100X500 or 150X400.
9. One character per account. You can have as many as you want, if you keep them active. Also, I don't care what you sign up as, but make sure you have your character's first and last name in your display name (fancy characters are fine, just make it readable).
ON ALIENS:
1. The aliens in this roleplay do not have physical forms, and as such, they must inhabit people.
2. Don’t ask to have your character inhabited. The staff will watch you roleplay, and if we want you to take on an alien spirit, we’ll contact you via PM. You will then be allowed to go through the alien canons and pick which one you want your character to be inhabited by. It’s completely voluntary, though, and if you don’t want to have an alien, just say no thanks and we won’t bother you. Also, you don’t have to pick an alien that’s the same gender as your character. It can make it interesting if you don’t. We’ll brief you more on the inhabitation process when we select you.
3. Once you’re inhabited, you will know which other characters are inhabited as well. The alien characters will be allowed to access certain boards that will be invisible to all other characters, where they can meet and talk about alien stuff.
4. If you’re not an alien, you can get suspicious, or try to figure out who’s an alien. If you are an alien, you can choose someone to share your secret with, if you like (your significant other or a sibling, for example). Once you’ve shared, tell the staff, and if you have invited that person into the group, they’ll be given access to the secret boards as well.
5. The alien plot is only part of the roleplay. For the rest, it’s just a high school roleplay, so treat it like one. There will be plot elements for people who aren’t aliens, so go ahead and play!
6. If you’ve read this, put “Wreckage never lies” in the application under “Other”.
